Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)
What is the Purpose of this Grant?
CSBG provides emergency assistance through six Community Action Agencies (CAAs) located throughout the state using money from the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG). Services can include assistance for food, housing, utilities, employment and education.
Community Action Agencies also provides a variety of Community Assistance services, such as: Head Start, pre-school daycare, adult daycare, USDA programs, emergency food boxes, , home repair and rehabilitation, homeless prevention, housing, senior programs, emergency assistance, and information, and referral to other resources.
