Paying for birth control and emergency contraception in New Mexico
NM Medicaid covers most birth control at no out-of-pocket cost. You can also use Medicaid for emergency contraception. Federal law requires private insurance to cover birth control as well. When you use private insurance an Explanation of Benefits will be sent to your home in the mail stating that you got birth control.
