The History | La Historia
Effective October 1, 2025, the federal Marketplace Integrity and Affordability (MIA) Rule removes eligibility for marketplace coverage and the Premium Tax Credit through BeWell, New Mexico’s Health Insurance Marketplace for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. This means people with DACA status will lose their health coverage through BeWell.
The New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) developed a temporary solution through the DACA Coverage Bridge providing health insurance coverage through December 31, 2025.
