Medicaid works best when it is driven by the voices and experiences of its members.
That’s why we’re launching the Beneficiary Advisory Council. The group provides a forum for people with Medicaid experience to share feedback about the program and work with NM Health Care Authority staff on decisions and improvements that can make Medicaid work better for everyone.

How often does the BAC meet?
The BAC will meet each quarter online and in-person. You can attend in person at HCA office, 1474 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505, or log in on Zoom.
How long is a term?
Members must be willing to serve on the BAC for two years. Regular attendance and participation is expected of all members. If more than two meetings in a row are missed, the BAC member may be replaced.
What is the time commitment?
Approximately 2-3 hours each quarter.
How many applicants will be selected to serve on the BAC?
15 members will be selected.
