New Mexico’s Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program is a five-year, federally funded initiative focused on expanding access to care, strengthening the rural health workforce, and supporting long-term sustainability for providers serving rural, frontier, and tribal communities.1

Program Overview

Authorized under H.R. 1, Public Law 119-21, the RHT Program is a national investment to improve rural health systems.

  • Program runs 2026–2030, with annual funding tied to performance
  • Supports providers, communities, and statewide infrastructure
