Session will help residents understand federal changes and steps to protect their benefits

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) invites Santa Fe residents to attend a free Keep Your Benefits NM information session on Tuesday, Nov. 10, to learn about federal changes to Medicaid.

The event is part of a statewide effort to help New Mexicans understand new requirements, prepare for upcoming changes, and take steps to avoid interruptions in their health coverage or food assistance.

  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026
  • Time: 10 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Location: State Capitol Roundhouse, Room 309, 490 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87501

The session is open to Medicaid members, SNAP customers, health care providers, community organizations, and anyone interested in learning more about the changes.

Attendees will learn about upcoming Medicaid requirements, SNAP changes already in effect, and what they may need to do to maintain their benefits. Representatives from the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions will also be available to share information about employment opportunities and job training resources.

HCA encourages Medicaid members and SNAP customers to keep their contact information up to date, review agency notices, and respond to requests for information by the deadlines provided. Residents who receive a turquoise envelope from HCA should open it as soon as possible and follow the instructions inside.

The Santa Fe session is one of several free information events taking place across New Mexico to help residents prepare for the federal changes.
