SANTA FE — The New Mexico Health Care Authority and the Administrative Office of the Courts will hold the inaugural meeting of the Executive Committee established under Senate Bill 3, the Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act, on Tuesday, June 24 at 9 a.m.
“This meeting marks the beginning of a coordinated effort to put Senate Bill 3 into action,” said Kari Armijo, secretary of the New Mexico Health Care Authority. “We’re committed to building a behavioral health system that truly serves New Mexicans and reflects the input of communities across the state.”

Senate Bill 3 passed with strong bipartisan support to address gaps in New Mexico’s behavioral, and substance use services. The legislation brings together all three branches of government and community leaders to reshape New Mexico’s behavioral health system. The Executive Committee will guide the law’s implementation and develop strategies to ensure transparency, regional equity, and meaningful public engagement.
